Match Report Press Report

Abshot Vets 1 Lost to Winchester Vets 2 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 17 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Patrick Fisher, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 76 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Trevor Leahy.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Trevor Leahy, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Trevor Leahy, who over-turned a 141 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
