Match Report Press Report

Lee-on-Solent 5 Lost to Fair Oak 3.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 4 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Mark Ross, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 79 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Chris Luetchford.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Bob Broadbridge, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

With 5 strings going the distance, the match turned out to be a hard-fought battle.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Bob Broadbridge, who over-turned a 628 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
